We're seeking a Gastroenterologist that will help increase efficiency and productivity throughout the gastroenterology unit. The Physician is directly accountable to the Section Chief of Gastroenterology and Chief of Medicine. In addition, the Staff Gastroenterologist proactively communicates with the Section Chief of Gastroenterology, Chief of Medicine, Chief of Staff and other members of the gastroenterology team, as needed to assure optimum results. Major duties/functions include, but are not limited to: The Physician is directly accountable to the section chief of gastroenterology. Physician will provide inpatient and outpatient consultations, evaluating clinic patients, and performing special procedures such as diagnostic EGD, snare polypectomy, variceal and non-variceal hemostasis, flexible sigmoidoscopy, liver biopsy, total colonoscopy, PEG, esophageal dilation with guidewire and paracentesis for optimal care. The incumbent may also be assigned to perform other clinical duties as assigned within the service. Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday; 8:00AM - 4:30PM, however there is an on-call schedule to include, but not limited to overnights, and weekendsSimilar jobs
